A US mother who killed her baby daughter by cooking her in a microwave has been jailed for life.
China Arnold's actions were a "heinous atrocity" that was "shocking and utterly abhorrent for a
civilised society", Judge Mary Wiseman said.
Arnold, 28, intentionally put one-month-old Paris Talley in the microwave and cooked her to death
after a row with her boyfriend over whether he was the baby's biological father, the court in
Dayton, Ohio, heard.
A jury found her guilty of aggravated murder last month.
Judge Wiseman said: "No adjectives exist to adequately describe this heinous atrocity. This act is
shocking and utterly abhorrent for a civilised society."
Her daughter was pronounced dead on August 30, 2005 at the Children's Medical Centre in Dayton.
David Franceschelli, prosecuting, said Arnold intentionally put the baby in the microwave and burned
her to death and has shown no genuine remorse.
The baby's DNA was found inside the microwave in the apartment she shared with her then-boyfriend
Terrell Talley and her four children.

There are no words that can be said to describe such an evil monster how anyone could do such a thing to anyone let alone there own daughter totally bewilders me :(
I wish they would bring back the death sentence for folk like that
it totally breaks my heart to hear of such awful things happening especially as i have 3 kids of my own and couldnt imagine what i would do if anything or anyone harmed a hair on there wee bodies

I just read this and I personally want to thank the creator for giving this poor baby a place that one day she can look down on and know that there are people down here who's hearts you are now in - So Sorry for the short life you had and the EVIL way it ended - There are lots of people here that would of loved to watch over you, given you the happy life you deserved - This has really touched me so much - I loved my daughter - tried to save her from harm,keep her safe yet a virus - Meningitis took her from me aged 3 - Rest In Peace Little one - Julie - Leonie Byrne's Mummy xxxx
