A US mother who killed her baby daughter by cooking her in a microwave has been jailed for life.
China Arnold's actions were a "heinous atrocity" that was "shocking and utterly abhorrent for a
civilised society", Judge Mary Wiseman said.
Arnold, 28, intentionally put one-month-old Paris Talley in the microwave and cooked her to death
after a row with her boyfriend over whether he was the baby's biological father, the court in
Dayton, Ohio, heard.
A jury found her guilty of aggravated murder last month.
Judge Wiseman said: "No adjectives exist to adequately describe this heinous atrocity. This act is
shocking and utterly abhorrent for a civilised society."
Her daughter was pronounced dead on August 30, 2005 at the Children's Medical Centre in Dayton.
David Franceschelli, prosecuting, said Arnold intentionally put the baby in the microwave and burned
her to death and has shown no genuine remorse.
The baby's DNA was found inside the microwave in the apartment she shared with her then-boyfriend
Terrell Talley and her four children.

this is a simply horrfic story when so many angles are taken too soon, that there are people out there capable of such sick things

Thank you for creating this memorial for baby Paris. I just can'timagine what must have been going through her mothers head to do this to another human being, let alone her own baby.

Oh my god - I could not believe this when I read this. You poor baby. Your life was so short and was then so cruelly taken away. You are at peace now and no-one can every hurt you again. The person who should have loved you most in the world betrayed you but now you have a family of angels who will care for you lovingly. RIP baby girl.xx
